Equality 7-2521 and the Golden One climb up into the mountains so that no one can follow them. They have hiked for several days when they see what they believe to be a fire but in actuality is the sun reflecting off the windows of an abandoned house. It is a two-story house with huge windows. Equality 7-2521 wonders how the house remains standing with so little wall to hold it up. They determine that it must be a house from the Unmentionable Times that was protected from the weather and time by trees. Equality 7-2521 asks the Golden One whether she is afraid, but she tells him she is not.





Equality 7-2521 realizes the meaning of the word “I” and realizes what has been missing from his world. He writes about standing at the summit of a mountain and concludes that he has reached the end of his quest to find the meaning of things because he is the meaning of things. His eyes’ seeing makes the earth beautiful, and his ears’ hearing makes the earth sing. His mind’s searching gives the earth truth. His will is the only command he respects or should respect. In his new view, the only three holy words are “I will it!”



Equality 7-2521 tells us that he has discovered the word “I” while reading the books in his library. The discovery moves him to tremendous elation and pity for mankind. After he has read for some time, he calls the Golden One to him and tells her about what he has found. She listens and then tells him she loves him. He then decides that they each need a new name. He names himself Prometheus, and he names her Gaea. She accepts her name without comment.

So before he ran off the life before the new one you had to do good for everyone you also had to think the same you had no imagination. life was boring. He discovered free thinking, freedom of speech and was pretty content with that

Equality 7-2521 discovered electricity, this discovery is very important to Equality because its a new discovery that could advance man in his world. But Equality is debating on wether or not he should bring it to the council or not.

anthem chapt. 2

in the second chapter of Anthem equality 7-7251 and liberty 5-3000 first meet. in there world it is a sin to talk to a different sex. but these two are different than the city council wants you to be. Witch pretty much means they want you to be a zombie. (witch completely sucks.) the city council does not want you to have a mind of your own. anyways equality and liberty. when they first see each other they don't say anything just look at each other with blank expressions, then the next day comes around and they show a smile to each other. the next day its back to day one blank expressions. through out that time equality named her the golden one because of her beauty. about one week later the golden one speaks and ask him why he stares at her and he says because of your beauty

anthem chapt. 1

in the first chapter of anthem equality becomes a street sweeper and he is about six feet tall from what i could get from the book.  equality wanted to be a scholar but the council appointed him to be a street sweeper for no reason what so ever so thats what he becomes. later in the first chapter equality finds a tunnel with stuff from the unmentionable times and him and the others figure that they should keep it a secret from the other and thus what they do. bye have fun (not)
